Kids in the Market

Due to COVID-19, our special programs for children at the Market are on hold in accordance with our COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan. We are exploring other ways to support children’s exposure to the Market and offer them learning opportunities about produce and nature.

When pandemic restrictions are lifted the Market will resume offering the  following two children’s programs.

One is a special booth called Seedlings and Sprouts where children can enjoy activities specially designed to make their experience at the Market interesting and fun.  Past activities have included making vegetable prints, pumpkin painting, decorating paper-plate ladybugs, story reading, and vegetable hunting.

The second is a federally recognized program called Power of Produce (POP) that helps educate children on what produce is, where you find it, and what benefits come from eating it.

If you are interested in helping out with Seedlings and Sprouts or Power of Produce (POP) Club activities during Market weeks, please call the
