Music in the Market

As you can see from the TBD entries on the Music in the Market calender, due to COVID-19, there are no performers scheduled for the 2020 Market season.

IF the health trends change the guidelines provided by the Governor’s Executive Orders, we will post performers added to our Market schedule here.

The Eastern Ingham Farmers Market continues to look for artists to donate their talents and time to perform once health restrictions are lifted.

WHY? To do what music does best, to build a sense of community, sharing, and a feel good vibe. What better combo can you find? You’ll be with kindred spirits who appreciate both good food and good music!

WHEN? Sundays beginning May 17 through October 11 for 1 to 2 hour time slots during the window from the 10:00 a.m. start of each market day to its close at 2:00 p.m.

WHAT AND WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Solo performers or small groups (instrumental, vocal or a combination) to engage and entertain shoppers in the Market. We are open to diverse music genre, e.g., blues, jazz, pop, bluegrass, folk, country, etc., as long as the style works in an open air market and you and our family customers are having fun.

WHAT IS OUR COMMITMENT? We will provide a prime, central location in the Market, Market tokens for use in purchasing Market products, promotion in the Eastern Ingham Farmers Market Newsletter and Facebook plus any other publicity or news story undertaken by the Market. You keep all tips (and proceeds from any product).

If you are interested in volunteering to perform at the market, please contact Market Manager Tom Cary at
