Volunteers selecting this service area would assist Sowing Growth and the Market Manager to promote Sowing Growth/Market events through photography, video recording and writing articles highlighting our fabulous vendors, activities, and guests. Volunteers would help in publishing the Market’s Facebook page, Instagram, weekly newsletter, and SG/EIFM website and creating special interest articles and community announcements. Assignments generally would be for a given event or week. There are also extended projects, including a time-lapse video of Market day, video collage of the market over time highlighting special products and produce, up-close and personal video interviews of Market vendors. The written compositions would include details such as:
- Publish details on events
- Vendors and products coming to the Market
- Vendor information
- Children’s activities
- Music and entertainment
NOTE: High School students accepted for volunteer positions to earn community service credit will work with the Market Manager and/or the Volunteer Coordinator to obtain documentation required by their high school.
